Personal Color Analysis (Free Seasonal Color Test)

Upload one front-facing photo and the tool samples your skin, eye and hair colors to estimate your undertone (warm or cool) and your seasonal color type, for reference. Every rule it uses is published below, and you can correct white balance or pick warm/cool yourself. Your photo never leaves your device.

How to use

  1. Upload a front-facing photo taken in natural light with no filters or editing (or take one with your camera).
  2. The tool finds your face and samples the colors of your cheeks and forehead (skin), irises (eyes) and the area just above your forehead (hair).
  3. It calculates warm/cool, light/deep and clear/soft, then shows one of the four seasons and a sub-type.
  4. Check the best colors and colors to avoid under the result, and tap a color to compare it as a virtual drape across the bottom of your photo.
  5. If the lighting is off, tap a white or gray point to correct white balance, or choose warm or cool yourself and view the result again.

⚠️ This is a self-check for reference only. It does not replace a draping session with a professional color analyst or measuring equipment, and it is not medical or beauty advice. Your photo is processed only in this browser, is never stored on a server, and your face is never retouched.

Why a photo alone can never be perfect

Personal color analysis is traditionally done by a professional who holds fabric drapes in different colors next to your face and compares how each one works with your skin, eyes and hair. One photo cannot fully reproduce that. Camera sensors, auto white balance, the color temperature of indoor lighting (incandescent bulbs add yellow, fluorescent tubes add blue) and image compression can all make skin look more yellow, redder or paler than it really is. So treat the result as a first hint, not an exact diagnosis. Compare several photos taken in different conditions (for example natural light on a cloudy day and on a sunny day), and make use of the white balance correction and manual warm/cool options.

How the result is calculated (fully disclosed)

The tool works in four steps. Every threshold is listed here, so you can see exactly why you got your result.

These values combine into four seasons: warm + clear = Spring, warm + soft = Autumn, cool + clear = Winter, cool + soft = Summer. Each season is split again by lightness into two sub-types (for example Light Spring and Bright Spring). The rules are a simple numeric version of the widely used four-season color theory and do not fully replace the detailed judgment of a professional color analyst.

How face detection works

Google’s open-source MediaPipe Face Landmarker finds 468–478 points on your face (eyes, nose, mouth, cheeks, forehead outline and more). The tool averages two cheek points and three forehead points for your skin color, the two irises for your eye color, and the area just above your forehead for your hair color. Each point uses the median of a small square rather than a single pixel, which reduces the effect of moles, blemishes and reflections. The model and all calculations run in WebAssembly inside your browser, and your photo is never sent anywhere.

FAQ

How accurate is this personal color test?

It is a self-check for reference. Lighting, camera white balance and makeup can make your skin, eye and hair colors look different from reality, so it cannot be as accurate as a draping session with a professional color analyst or salon measuring equipment. We recommend comparing several photos taken in different light.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. The AI model that finds your face (Google MediaPipe) is hosted on this site, so photos and camera images are processed entirely inside your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere, and nothing is saved after the analysis.

What if my only photo has bad lighting?

Tap a spot in the photo that should be white or gray (the white of the eye, a white wall, light clothing) to correct the white balance manually. If the lighting is very strongly tinted the result can still be off, so retaking the photo in natural daylight is best.

What if the warm or cool result doesn’t match what I think?

Use the "Manual adjustment" menu under the result to choose warm or cool yourself and see the palette and tips again. Self-checks feel different for everyone, so if the calculated result and what you see disagree, you can go with your manual choice.

Can I take a photo with my camera right away?

Yes, use the "Use camera" button. Selfie cameras often apply strong automatic beautifying, so if you can, use the default camera app rather than a filter app, and shoot in natural light.
